BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Community Services & Workforce Development has been awarded a HOPWA (Housing Opportunity for People Living with Aids) contract from the City of San Jose in the amount of $50,000 for FY 2018-2019. CSWD will provide essential safety-net services to eligible clients in the form of rental assistance, utilities, food and dental assistance on a monthly basis. The State has designated the City of San Jose as the regional administrator of the HOPWA funds for San Benito County and Bay Area Counties. The previous HOPWA contract with the City of San Jose expired on June 30, 2018, the amendment for the FY 2018/2019 funding is retroactive to July 1, 2018. The contract amendment must first be approved by San Benito County.
