The San Benito County Free Library requests Board approval to close the Library on Saturday, November 24th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, and Saturday December 22nd and Monday, December 24th in observance of the December holidays.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The San Benito County Free Library requests Board approval to close on Saturday, November 24th as the Library will also be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday; and Saturday, December 22nd and Monday, December 24th as the Library will already be closed for the following week, beginning Tuesday, December 25th in accordance with County holiday closures.
Given the proximity of the requested closure days above to existing holidays, they have been very slow business days for the Library with minimal patron activity. These closures will provide a cost savings to the County while allowing Library staff to spend time with their families over the holidays.
