BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Since 1991, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (CDPR) has contracted with the County to data enter San Benito County pesticide application use reports and transmit that data to CDPR. The pesticide permitting program now provides the capability of online entry of data by those required to submit use reports. CDPR no longer contracts with counties for data submission.
To transition from county personnel from inputting the data to the user, the California Commissioners and Sealers Association (CACASA) is providing funding during this phase out period. We anticipate ongoing funding at a level consistent with FY2017/2018.
Work will be performed by existing staff.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

2. Authorize the Chair to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
