Approve a contract Amendment with NV5 Inc. in the amount of $650,000.00 to pay for engineering services as part of the continued pre-engineering portion of the the bridge replacement program; and approve a budget transfer in the amount of $400,000.00 from Salary and Benefits to Services and Supplies Other Consultants to use salary savings to offset the portion of the contract amendment that is not reimbursable.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On June 13, 2017 the County entered into a contract with NV5 (aka Nolte Associates) to provide professional engineering services in support of the County's bridge replacement program. NV5 was hired due to a lack of county staff who have professional engineering experience with bridge replacement projects. To date, the County still lacks internal staff capable of managing bridge replacement projects, thus necessitating the need to continue using NV5's engineering services.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1) Approve contract amendment with NV5 Inc. in the amount of $650,000.00 for code enforcement and planning management services.
2) Authorize the RMA Director to approve changes to the contract up to 10% of the contract amount.
3) Authorize the County Budget Officer to transfer $400,000.00 for Salary and Benefits Regular to Services and Supplies Other Consultants.
