Approve contract renewal with Encompass Community Services, (aka. Santa Cruz Counseling Center, Inc.) for Residential Treatment for the period of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, for a maximum total of $50,000.00.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Clients sometimes require placement in substance abuse residential treatment facilities as part of their treatment plan. This contract provides licensed residential substance abuse treatment services for San Benito County adults, male and female. Individuals involved in this type of treatment are generally participants of mandated substance abuse treatment. The residential services provided are eligible for funding through Child Protective Services (CPS) and Probation Dept. AB-109 funding for substance abuse residential treatment mandated as a condition for compliance by the courts. Through this contract with Encompass Community Services (formerly Santa Cruz Counseling Center, Inc.) we have access for client placement at their two facilities.
This contract is required to be in compliance with the requirements of DHCS (Dept. Of Health Care Services) MH SUDS Notice 18-009 and the Notice of Failure to comply with provision of all required Drug Medi-Cal Services components (i.e. Licensed Men’s Residential Substance Abuse Treatment)
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The County Superior Court, Probation and CPS staffs work in coordination with Substance Abuse Treatment staff in identifying clients who are appropriate for referral to this level of residential care.
