BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Behavioral Health clients may at times require inpatient, acute psychiatric hospital services to meet their acute care treatment needs. BHC Fremont Hospital provides psychiatric hospital services for adults. It is sometimes difficult to find psychiatric hospitals with available beds. The Behavioral Health Department contracts with multiple hospitals to increase the options for psychiatric hospital bed availability.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
Our staff coordinates with Hazel Hawkins hospital staff and physicians where clients may be receiving physical health care and medical clearance prior to transfer to a psychiatric hospital.
