BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

Each year San Benito County prepares a response to the Grand Jury report in compliance with Penal Code 933 and 933.05. Attached is a draft response from the Board of Supervisors for the 2017-2018 Grand Jury report. The Board is requested to review the draft response, and if satisfied, approve the response to be submitted to the Superior Court.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

  1. Approve the Board of Supervisors' response to the 2017-2018 Grand Jury report, authorize the Chair to sign the letter in response to the Grand 2017-2018 Grand Jury Report on behalf of the Board of Supervisors.
  2. Direct staff to submit the supplemental response to the Presiding Judge of San Benito County Superior Court.
