Approve State contract, 17-0453-031-SF, for Glassy Winged Sharp Shooter survey and detection activities, from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020, for a total contract amount of $20,642.52.

Background Information:

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) wishes to contract with County of San Benito to conduct survey and trapping activities for the Glassy Winged Sharp Shooter (GWSS).  The survey is conducted countywide.  The contract covers two fiscal years:

FY2018/2019 $10,321.26

FY2019/2020 $10,321.26

The work is performed by existing staff.  The funding is sufficient to cover our costs.  The anticipated revenue has been budgeted in the Agricultural Commissioner's Budget for FY 2018/2019.

1. Approve Contract #17-0453-031-SF between the California Department of Food & Agriculture and the County of San Benito for Glassy Winged Sharp Shooter survey and detection activities from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020.  Total contract is $20,642.52.

2.  Authorize the Chair to sign contract.
