Approve the Certificate of Recognition for Shelby O'Neil, a resident of San Juan Bautista and a local environmental activist. Ms. O'Neil was selected by the Central Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross for her commitment to environmental activism. The certificate will be presented at the 2018 American Red Cross Central Coast Heroes Breakfast.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

After careful consideration, a committee of local community leaders selected the 2018 Central Coast Hero Award recipients based on the degree to which their actions uphold the values of the Red Cross and have a positive impact on the residents of the Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties. The Red Cross requested a certificate of achievement from the Board of Supervisors for the honoree who resides in San Benito County.
