Approve contract with Caltrans to exchange Federal Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) funds for State Highway Account funds for fiscal year 2017-18 in the amount of $239,849.00.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

 

The County-State fund exchange/match agreement requires that the County agree to use exchange/match funds for transportation purposes authorized under Article XIX of the State Constitution.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

  1. Approve contract with Caltrans to exchange transportation funds from Federal into State funds for FY 2017-18.
  2. Authorize the RMA Director to submit an invoice to the State for payment of these exchange/match funds.
  3. Direct the County Auditor/Controller to establish a separate account within the County Road Fund to deposit and account for these State exchange/match funds.
