Approve contract amendment with Lewis Engineering, extending engineering services regarding the John Smith Landfill, from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

On December 16, 2017, the County entered into a contract with Lewis Engineering to provide on-call professional services related to the John Smith Landfill at a cost of $9,000.00.

The County continues to benefit from the contractor's expertise in airspace consumption reporting, environmental monitoring, and permitting at the John Smith Landfill, which necessitates an extension of the current contract. Funding for this contract comes from the Integrated Waste Management special revenue fund.  Therefore, this amendment will not impact the General Fund.

1. Approve amendment to contract with Lewis Engineering, extending engineering services regarding the John Smith Landfill, from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2019, and authorize the Board Chair to sign it; and
2. Authorize the RMA Director to extend the contract for an additional two-year period if necessary and approve change orders up to 10% of the contract amount.
