BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This is a request for Board approval for the County Librarian, Nora Conte, to attend the 2018 annual American Library Association (ALA) conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, from June 20, 2018 through June 26, 2018.
Attendance at and participation in this annual conference is extremely valuable as it provides exposure to a broad spectrum of library services, workshops, and staff training and allows a library director to keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in technology, grant writing, library marketing and outreach, as well as professional networking.
