BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
For the
last five years, the County HHSA has been contracting with Gavilan College
CalWORKs program to provide educational services to CalWORKs participants.
Gavilan CalWORKs Program will provide participants support with registration,
identify potential barriers to successful attainment of academic goals,
schedule participants for placement in testing, assist with participant's
academic and vocational goals, develop student's class schedule, provide a 12
month educational plan and provide overall support to all participants.
This
contract has been included in the FY18/19 recommended budget. There is no impact to the County General
Fund.
