BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This is a request to approve the purchase of a mid-size sedan (2018 Chevrolet Traverse)) from Greenwood Chevrolet of Hollister and to waive the competitive bid process. As per the County Purchasing Ordinance materials and supplies shall be purchased from local businesses which provide a responsive, responsible bid within 15% of the lowest responsive, responsible bid. We have researched the Government Services Procurement (GSA) pricing for the same make and type of auto (GSA Pricing- $28,719.90) and Greenwood Chevrolet has provided a quote for the same auto for the price of $29,902.84
The BH Dept. has identified and allocated adequate funds in the department’s Board approved 2017-18 budget and specifically for the purchase of an automobile.

1) Approve the waiving of the Competitive Bid Process and the Behavioral Health Department’s purchase of a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse.
2) Approve Contract for purchase of one (1), 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
3) Authorize the Behavioral Health Director to sign contract.
