Request for direction from the Board with regard to the preparation of a professional services agreement to conduct electoral polling related to a sales tax and business license tax county Ballot Measure for the November 2018 General Election.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

As the Board is aware, three measures have been approved by the Board of Supervisors for placement on the June 2018 Primary Election Ballot. 

 

The Board requested administration to work with COG on joint polling. Council of Governments and their polling representatives have elected to pursue polling exclusively to COG-related ballot measures.

 

Therefore, County Staff are following up with the Board considering the Boards request to work with COG.  Staff is recommending to reach out to polling companies.

Staff respectfully recommends direction with regard to the procurement of polling services in connection with County-related ballot measures.

The direction of the Board was not to proceed regards to Sales Tax and Business License Tax, but to come back with information on a Business License Fee. (5/0 vote)
