BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

Per the FY 18/19 Budget and Budget Policies, General Fund departments that have salary savings due to vacancies are subject to budget adjustments to capture those savings. The adjustments do not affect a department's ability to continue recruiting and hiring for those positions. Should unforeseen circumstance arise that would create an over-budget situation in a department, the salaries can be restored.
