BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

Counsel requests that the Board approve a legal services agreement with the law firm of Meyers, Nave, Riback, Silver and Wilson.  The firm would be providing specialized advice in the area of employment law, on an as needed basis.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
1.  Approve the legal services agreement with the law firm of Meyers, Nave, Riback, Silver and Wilson.
2.  Authorize the Board Chair to sign the agreement.

County Counsel Barbara Thompson modified to read not to exceed $25,000.00.  Approved per staff recommendation. (5/0 vote)
