BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On June 22, 2016 your Board approved the relocation and lease of 351 Tres Pinos #A202 for the County's Public Health facility. The contract for the renovation activities has been awarded and work has begun with a target date for the move-in activities scheduled for April 2018.
An integral part of the renovation upgrades are the components for the communications and data structures. The attached quotes for equipment and installation costs total $48,162 and will provide the Public Health division with newer technology for greater mobility with portable data processing, WiFi access points, electronic medical records keeping and greater data/network security.
The County's IT department has done extensive research on the best possible technology solutions while maintaining budget constraints. The process of choosing a solution included quotes from competing vendors and technology structures. It is IT's opinion that the attached quote for hardware, software and installation services is the best package solution.
The funding for this project is included in the FY17/18 budget for Public Health and there is no impact to the County General Fund.
