BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The Political Reform Act (Government Code - Section 81000, et. seq.) requires every local government agency to adopt a Conflict of Interest Code and submit it to the agency's code reviewing body for approval, pursuant to Government Code section 87303. The Board of Supervisors is the code reviewing body for local government agencies situated wholly within the territorial boundaries of the County of San Benito, such as the Tres Pinos Water District.
The Tres Pinos Water District Directors have submitted a new Conflict of Interest Code, indicating the positions which are required to file statements of economic interest, for the Board of Supervisors' consideration. Board approval is required for the proposed code to become effective.
The Water District's proposed Conflict of Interest Code and the proposed Board of Supervisors Resolution approving it are attached for consideration.
