Receive the 2017 San Benito County Holiday Closure schedule for all departments; receive the 2018 San Benito County Office Hours schedule for all departments; adopt a Resolution of the San Benito County Board of Supervisors authorizing the hours of operation for the December 2017/January 2018 holiday closure period and the 2018 office hours and days of operation.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The MOU’s for SEIU, MEG and the Institutions Association provide for four (4) additional paid holiday closure dates (or for 32 hours of paid time) for represented employees in these groups during the December 2017 holiday period.   The MOU language provides for closure days of December 26th through December 29th and further provides that employees in essential departments who are not closed during this period will be provided with the opportunity to take the four (4) days (32 hours maximum) off between December 10, 2017 and January 31, 2017.  Employees in the Institutions Associations are credited with 32 hours without a January 2018 expiration date, however, the hours have no cash value.  These days/hours were also approved by your Board for the Confidential, Confidential Management and Unrepresented groups.  

Exhibit “A” provides the 2016 Holiday Closure schedule for all of the County departments.
Exhibit “B” provides the 2017 Office Hours schedule for all of the County departments.

1.Receive the 2017 San Benito County Holiday Closure schedule for all departments.

2.Receive the 2018 San Benito County Office Hours schedule for all departments.

3.Adopt a Resolution of the San Benito County Board of Supervisors authorizing the hours of operation for the December 2017/January 2018 holiday closure period and the 2018 office hours and days of operation.
