Approve contract with the Dept. of Health Care Services (DHCS), Contract Agreement # 17-94546, for the Term of July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018; and adopt Resolution approving the Mental Health Services, Mental Health Services Act Performance Contract with the California Department of Health Care Services.

This proposed contract agreement provides mental health services funding for the term of July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.

In order to comply with the provision of required community mental health services funding  and to also ensure the maintenance of matching funds required for a substantial portion of the Behavioral Health Departments MediCal services revenue paid to the County, this contract is required to be approved for enactment by the County. This agreement also is inclusive of the terms and conditions for the County to access MHSA (Mental Health Services Act- Prop 63) funds. This Agreement, which is the County Behavioral Health Department’s performance contract, as required by Welfare and Institutions Code (W&I) sections 5650(a), 5847, and Title 9, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 3310, sets forth conditions and requirements that the County must meet in order to receive this funding.

1)    Adopt Board of Supervisor Resolution accepting the Mental Health Services Performance  Contract as provided by the Dept. of Health Care Services (DHCS) and authorize the Board Chair to sign said resolution; and:

2)    Authorize the County Behavioral Health Director to sign the Certification  and County Contract documents for Agreement #17-94546 with the State DHCS for the term of July 1, 2017 through

June 30, 2018.
