BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Chief Probation Officer is requesting authorization to submit payment to Motion DSP, Inc in the amount of $16,367.40 to purchase of Ikena Forensic & Ikena Spotlight Bundle Software and 2 years maintenance subscription for the Hollister Police Department with AB109 funding. Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) approved funding this purchase on November 14, 2016.
Ikena Forensic equips analysts with tools for enhancing video from any source including body cameras, security cams and mobile phones. This software allows to quickly identify important details like faces, license plates and the make and model of cars to produce forensically-valid evidence for court. This GPU-accerlerated technology makes importing, rending enhancements, and exporting results faster and easier than other software.
Ikena Spotlight is an advanced video and audio redaction software that uses proprietary object-tracking technology to help automate the process of blurring faces, license plates or any other personally identifiable information, to save time and money.
Monetary contribution from CCP. Software agreement is through the City of Hollister.
AB109 funds will be used to offset the costs of these items so there will be no cost to the County.
