The Senate Governance & Finance Committee will author the "Local Government Omnibus Act of 2017" which proposes numerous relatively minor, noncontroversial changes to the laws affecting local agencies' powers and duties when signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown, the omnibus bill will take effect on January 1, 2018; authorize Chairman to execute a letter of support for one of the provisions in Senate Bill 205, the Local Government Omnibus Act of 217; specifically, to support the proposed amendment to Government Code 1360 that would clarify the requirement of public officers to take an oath of office following election or appointment.

HHSA will act as the lead agency in the administration of the contract.

Accept all bids in the attached bid summary report for the Migrant Camp Sewer Line Repair project, award contract in the amount of $35,600.00 to Monterey Peninsula Engineering as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, approve the contract with Monterey Peninsula Engineering, authorize the RMA Director to execute the contract upon receipt of signed contract documents as required per the project specifications, grant the RMA Director change order authority in an amount not to exceed $3,560.00; and approve the attached budget augmentation for the transfer of a General Fund Contingency Loan to the Capital Improvement project budget. (4/5 vote)
