Approve contract renewal with Merced County, Psychiatric Health Facility and Outpatient Clinic Services for the period of July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018; for a maximum annual amount of $175,000.

The County of Merced, Behavioral Health Department did not process and return their contract in a timely manner   and they are now presenting us with a contract that includes the period of time for the FY 2015-16 and also proposing that the contract be inclusive of a new 2 year time span that includes FY 2016-17 through FY 2017-18. The services provided by Merced County Behavioral Health are essential services for San Benito County clients that may require inpatient, acute psychiatric hospital services to meet their acute care treatment needs. The Merced County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) in Merced, CA is a facility that can provide us with an additional option to meet the needs of adult client’s requiring acute inpatient psychiatric hospital care. Additionally, some Behavioral Health Department clients that reside in placements in Merced County require outpatient mental health services as part of their treatment plan. This contract allows for the provision of both inpatient and outpatient services that would be difficult or not feasible to provide without the assistance from Merced County Department of Mental Health. These contract services are funded through MH realignment, Managed Care Funds, Federal Medi-Cal & third party payers. This contract is structured as a fee for service contract.

Approve the July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018 inpatient and outpatient services Contract Renewal with Merced County for a maximum annual amount of $175,000 for the term of the contract and; authorize the Board Chair to sign said contract.
