BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

Your Board approved to contract with Associated Right of Way Services, Inc. for right of way negotiation services for Union Road Bridge Project on November 5, 2013, Amendment #1 on December 2, 2014 and Amendment #2 on September 22, 2015.  The Right-of-Way acquisition phase is almost complete, but the contract is set to expire on June 30, 2016. This amendment #3 expands the scope of services to add additional tasks needed to complete the acquisition phase and prepare Right of Way reports required by Federal and State Highway Administration, increases the budget by $28,750.00, and extends the term of the contract to June 30, 2017.  All other terms and conditions of the original contract remain in place.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

It is respectfully recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

1. Approve the contract amendment #3 with Associated Right of Way Services, Inc., extending the term for right of way services for Union Road Bridge Project, for the period June 30, 2016 to June 30, 2017 and expanding scope to $28,750.00 for a total contract value not to exceed $191,550.00; and 
2. Authorize the chair to sign said contract amendment #3.
