BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The contract with Quincy Engineering, Inc., for engineering consulting services and construction support for the Limekiln Road Bridge is set to expire on June 30, 2016. The project has experienced delays due to unanticipated site conditions and required modifications to the original scope of work. A contract amendment is needed to extend the contract timeline for the final design and preparation of plans and specifications. This amendment #1 expands the scope of services to add additional tasks relating to Design, Environmental Technical Reports, and Biological Resources outside of the approved environmental study area, increases the budget by $30,200.00, and extends the term of the contract to June 30, 2018. All other terms and conditions of the original contract remain in place.

It is respectfully recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve amendment #1 with Quincy Engineering, Inc., for Limekiln Road Bridge Project, for contract term extension from June 30, 2016 to June 30, 2018 and additional scope to $30,200 for a total contract value to $386,316.93; and,
2. Authorize the chair to sign said contract.
