BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

National Emergency Medical Services Week

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians, First Responders, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement and others who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line."

The EMS Week theme for 2016 is "EMS Strong:  Called to Care".  We will celebrate the exceptional service being provided to countless patients everyday, and often under incredibly challenging circumstances.  EMS providers are a team dedicated to saving lives and limiting suffering, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  These responders are selfless professional who put their lives on hold, day after day, to respond to the emergency needs of others.

To celebrate National EMS Week, we are hosting a Root Beer Float Social Wednesday, May 18th in our courtyard from 1:30-2:30 PM for all First Responders, and we are hosting a Softball Tournament Saturday, May 21st beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the large field at Veterans' Park.  We invite you to join us for these activities and to thank our everyday heroes.
