Approval of the local Workforce Development Board Re-certification Request for Program Years 2016-2018 under the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) and authorize the Workforce Investment Board Chair and the Chair of the board of supervisors to sign the application and any amendments and documents pertaining to the application.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The CA Workforce Development Board (CWDB) and the Employment Development Department (EDD) is requiring that each Local Workforce Development Board (WIB) submit the Workforce Development Board Re- certification Request for Program Years 2016-2018 under the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA). Per the State's guidelines, Workforce Development Boards are allowed to submit an unsigned copy of the Recertification Request to the State by March 30, 2016 with the final signed copy by the end of June.
The San Benito County Workforce Development Board approved the re-certification request at their April 12th meeting.
