If owners of more than 50% of the assessed valuation of the property do not object, the Board may form the GHAD by adopting a Resolution forming the San Benito Geologic Hazard Abatement District (GHAD) and appointing the Board of Supervisors to serve as the GHAD Board of Directors.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Pursuant to Condition 9 of TSM 13-86 (San Juan Oaks Specific Plan), the applicant is requesting the formation of a Geologic Hazard Abatement District (GHAD) in order to mitigate geologic hazards on the site of the Del Webb at San Juan Oaks development. On April 12, 2016, the Board of Supervisors was presented with and reviewed GHAD Petition and set the Public Hearing for May 10, 2016 to consider the Petition, including the Draft Plan of Control, which describes the potential geologic hazards within the territory to be annexed and addressed the prevention, mitigation, abatement and control of such hazards.
