BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The skills and experience that this contractor provides assure that the Behavioral Health Department’s administrative/fiscal functions are fulfilled as per the expanded MHSA audit oversight regulations and the new Drug MediCal Waiver Expansion Fiscal accountability requirements as delineated in the State Department of Health Care Services County Performance Contracts. Due to increasing demands on the administrative and other fiscal related components with MHSA (Mental Health Services Act) Services, MediCal Managed Care Program Cost Reports, Short/Doyle MediCal Cost Reports, Substance Abuse Drug MediCal Expanded Services fiscal tracking and reporting tasks that require completion of complex fiscal accountability processes, the approval of the Administrative/Fiscal Consultant contract is requested.

 

This contractor possesses many years of experience, skills and knowledge in administrative/fiscal functions specific to Behavioral Health operations. This contractor is recognized statewide for his level of expertise with mental health and substance abuse administrative/fiscal functions as demonstrated by the procurement of his fiscal consulting services by many other counties throughout the State as well as the California Behavioral Health Directors Association, the Small Counties Behavioral Health Directors and the State Department of Health Care Services.
