BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
In the past ten years the Department of Planning and Building has maintained and operated building permit processing through an outside consultant contract. As a result of the current process, most permit and inspection funding is a pass through to current provider. As new management strategies are deployed within the department, one of the many decisions was to procure and establish a land development software system that includes, Land Development Applicaiton, Permit Processing, Code Encforcement and Building Inspection Tracking. By establishing an county operated land management system, most of the revenue generated will remain within the county and provide the much needed offset for general department operations and long term inspection costs. The desire to re-align how and where development funding is captured and managed is a part of the new focus within the Department of Planning and Building which will assist the county's vision of permit streamlining and transparency to the Planning and Building Department customers. Carahsoft's representative will sign the contract after it has been approved by the Board.

Approve contract and statement of work schedule with Carahsoft Technology, Inc. for Accela Software - Land Development Module per GSA Schedule No: GS-35F-0119Y in an amount not to exceed $82,628.00; and authorize RMA Director to execute contract.
