Approve the Contract with Lew Edwards Group for a Communication and Outreach Plan for a term of two years effective April 12, 2016 through June 30, 2018; for a total amount not to exceed $55,000.

As requested by the Board, staff is requesting approval of a two-year contract with the Lew Edwards Group to develop and implement a County Outreach and Education Plan to better inform and educate the public on County programs, services, and funding; improve direct and two-way communication between the County and its constituents through the use of social media and other mediums. 

The County solicted for these services using a Request for Proposal in October 2015 and February 2016. The RFP is attached. 

It is recommended that the San Benito County Board of Supervisors:

1. Approve the contract with Lew Edwards group for a term of two years and a total amount not to exceed $55,000; and
2. Authorize the Chair to sign the contract.
3. Authorize the CAO to approve any addendums that do not increase contract price.
