Approve the request to close a portion of the Flynn Road property as shown on the attached exhibit, in accordance with the dates and times requested for the 2016 Hollister Airshow,and authorize the Resource Management Director or his designee to sign the request of Hollister Airshow. Also, authorize use of the County logo on Airshow Advertising as a sponsor of the event.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Hollister Airshow is requesting permission to close a portion of the County's Flynn Road property to all use for a portion of the day on June 17, 18, and 19, 2016. The purpose of the closure is to create a safety zone during overflight maneuvers. The property is currently vacant. It is possible that construction activity associated with the adult detention expansion could be scheduled on these days. If that turns out to be the case, staff would provide in the jail construction agreement that the site must be vacated during the airshow dates/times.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1) Approve the request to close a portion of the Flynn Road property as shown on the attached exhibit, in accordance with the dates and times requested,
2) Authorize the Resource Management Director or his designee to sign the request of Hollister Airshow, and send a letter similar to the attached draft; and
3) authorize use of the County logo on Airshow advertising as a sponsor of the event.
