BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
San Benito County Resource Management Agency Road Maintenance Division does not have a safe and efficient method of transporting county owned large specialized equipment. The method of transportation currently includes contracting with construction companies for the relocation of equipment and when time permits staff will drive equipment with an escort following behind. During the Fiscal Year 2015-16 budget process, staff recommended and Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of one transportation tractor and trailer.
