Approve contract with National Council on Crime and Delinquency (NCCD) for Internet Access to SafeMeasures® from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018 in the amount of $12,000.00.

San Benito County Health and Human Services Agency has a contract with the National Council on Crime Delinquency (NCCD) for Internet Access to SafeMeasures® that expired 12/31/16.  San Benito County has been utilizing this system for the past 11 years.  Safe Measures® is a management tool that integrates with the Child Welfare Services Case Management System (CWS/CMS), the statewide case management system for child welfare services.  SafeMeasures® is a case management tool for social workers as it has provided instrumental support by assisting social workers to visualize and monitor compliance with the required referral investigation response time, reporting and timely contact visits, assessments and placement monitoring on child welfare cases. It is further used by Social Work Supervisors and Management to ensure compliance with the State and Federal Outcomes and Accountability measures as they relate to Child Welfare Cases.  In addition, because of the CWS/CMS integration, the use Safe Measures® is included in the CWS/CMS System Improvement Plan and NCCD/SafeMeasures® is a sole source provider of this service.

1.  Approve the Contract with National Council on Crime and Delinquency (NCCD) for Internet Access to SafeMeasures® for the period of 1/1/2017 to 12/31/2018 in the amount of $12,000 ($6,000 per year); and

2.  Authorize Chair of Board to sign contract.
