SBC FILE NUMBER: 119 RESOLUTION NO: 2O16-87 AGENDA SECTION: REGULAR AGENDA BACKGROUND/SUMMARY: The Board of Supervisors previously met in Special Session on June 9, 2016 to consider an overview of the Community Choice Energy Proposal led by Management Analyst Virginia "Gine" Johnson from the County of Santa Cruz, CA. Attached is resolution prepared working group committee members from Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties for consideration by the Board of Supervisors here in San Benito County. It should be noted that the County of San Benito has only been allocated one (1) representative under the proposed composition of the MCBP Governing Board. BUDGETED: SBC BUDGET LINE ITEM NUMBER: CURRENT FY COST: STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff requests that the Board provide direction regarding this proposal. If desired, Adopt Proposed Resolution affirming the County's intent to participate in governance and financing discussions for the proposed Monterey Bay Community Power (MCBP) Joint Powers Authority, or provide other direction to staff.
