BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

In May 2016 a patrol vehicle was involved in an accident and subsequently deemed totaled by the insurance company.  An insurance check has been issued and it is requested that the Sheriff be authorized to purchase a replacement vehicle and associated equipment.  This action will require augmenting the Schedule of Fixed to include one (1) 2017 Dodge Charger and increasing the expenditure and associated insurance recovery line item in the amount of $46,419.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Authorize the Sheriff to replace the totaled Dodge Charger; and Augment the Schedule of Fixed Assets to include a 2017 Dodge Charger / delete the 2009 Dodge Charger; and increase expenditures, (fixed assets - vehicles), in the amount of $46,419; and increase fixed assets - insurance recoveries in the same amount.  (4/5 vote)
