BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The current Planning and Building Inspection Services Department copier lease expired December 23, 2015. This copier has been leased to this Department since 2010 and is currently used by Public Works and Integrated Waste Management staff. Public Works has two current lease agreements with Xerox Financial Services, LLC, acquired using State of California General Services Agreement. Staff would like to replace the outdated high volume copier with another Xerox machine that provides additional features such as color copies. Pursuant to County Code section 5.09.010(J), staff has presented a lease agreement with Xerox for a Xerox Model 7855PT, under State of California General Services Agreement No. GS-25F-0062.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1. Find that competitive purchasing requirements have been satisfied for obtaining a replacement copier (Xerox Model 7855PT), by using State of California General Services Administration Agreement No. GS-25F-0062 for a lease agreement with Xerox; and,
2. Approve lease agreement with Xerox for a period of 60 months at the cost of $260.58 monthly, with print costs at the rates of $0.0050/black and white copy and $0.0456/color copy; and,
3. Authorize RMA Director or designee to execute the lease agreement.
