BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
In
2002, the Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) consolidating the
administration of local Child Support Services and established the Santa
Cruz/San Benito County Regional Department of Child Support Services. It should
be noted that the regionalization of the two counties has resulted in an
improvement in the federal performance measures to date, including, but not
limited to cost effectiveness.
The
Regional Director is proposing a renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding
which clarifies the counties’ responsibilities, mutual indemnifications and
extension provision.
