BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
For more than 25 years, the District Attorney’s Office has maintained oversight of the County’s Victim Witness Program, a state and federally funded program to assist crime victims.
This program has been staffed by a Victim Witness Program Coordinator and Victim Witness Advocates in part time and full time capacities over the years. The Victim Witness Program Coordinator who manages the grant and the program activities recently retired thus prompting a review of the class specification and duties of this position.
In reviewing this class specification, the County felt it appropriate to ensure that significant focus on the grant management portion of the program was an essential function of the position.
The revised class specification is presented today for your approval in both ‘track changes’ and final format.
This position is represented by the Management Employees Group (MEG); MEG has reviewed and concurred with the proposed revisions.
