BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
In November 2005 we initiated our conversion process to a new MIS (management information system) with the Kings View Corp. as the provider of those services. This Contractor has a history of providing Management Information Systems (MIS) for County Behavioral Health Departments in counties throughout our state. Our experience with this vendor has progressed well. Continuing with the services of providing our departments MIS system is an essential service to maintain the Behavioral Departments operations. Our computerized management information system processes all Mental Health and Substance Abuse accounting and billing tasks associated with MediCal, private insurance, private pay, State required reports for the Client Services Information System (CSI), State required explanation of benefits reports (EOB), Statistical info. required for Cost Reporting, State required tracking of statistics required for the MHSA performance outcomes measures, tracking of client appointments, client scheduling, reports related to tracking of staff use of time, number of services delivered, production of electronic client health records, etc. This contract spans multiple years that include (2) two subsequent annual automatic renewals subject to cost increases of 2.5% per year based on the prior year total contract price and a subscription user fee of 0% to 5% based on possible added county subscriptions.
