Approve contract renewal with the Encompass Community Services (aka. Santa Cruz Counseling Center, Inc.) for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, for a maximum total of $50,000.

Clients sometimes require placement in substance abuse residential treatment facilities as part of their treatment plan. This contract provides licensed residential substance abuse treatment services for San Benito County adult male and female clients. Individuals involved in this type of treatment are generally participants of mandated substance abuse treatment.  The residential services provided are eligible for funding through Child Protective Services (CPS) funding and CalWRKS funding for substance abuse treatment mandated as a condition of CalWRKS, or CPS compliance. Through this contract with Encompass Community Services (formerly Santa Cruz Counseling Center, Inc.) we have access for client placement at their two facilities.

 (1)    OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

The County Superior Court, Probation and CPS and CalWRKS staff work in coordination with Substance Abuse Treatment staff in identifying clients who are appropriate for referral to this level of residential care.  

1)  Approve the attached Contract Renewal for a maximum total of $50,000 with the Encompass Community Services (aka. Santa Cruz Counseling Center, Inc.), for the term of FY 2016-17 and;

2)    Authorize the Board Chair to sign said contract.
