BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This proposed contract agreement provides mental health services funding for the term of July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
In order to comply with the provision of required community mental health services provided with realignment funding and to also ensure the maintenance of realigned matching funds required for a substantial portion of the Behavioral Health Departments MediCal services revenue paid to the County, this contract is required to be approved for enactment by the County. This agreement also is inclusive of the terms and conditions for the County to access MHSA (Mental Health Services Act- Prop 63) funds. This Agreement, which is the County Behavioral Health Department’s performance contract, as required by Welfare and Institutions Code (W&I) sections 5650(a), 5847, and Title 9, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 3310, sets forth conditions and requirements that the County must meet in order to receive this funding.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1) Approve the attached Board of Supervisor Resolution accepting the Realignment Mental Health Services, MHSA Performance Contract as provided by the Dept. of Health Care Services (DHCS) and authorize the Board Chair to sign said resolution; and:
2) Authorize the County Behavioral Health Director to sign the Contract Agreement #16-93136 and Certification Forms for the State DHCS and the County Contract for the term of July 1, 2016 through
June 30, 2017.
