Approve Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California Agricultural Commissioners and Sealers Association for submission of pesticide use reports for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 in the amount of $8,968.00.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Since 1991, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (CDPR) has contracted with the County to data-enter San Benito County pesticide application use reports and transmit that data to CDPR. A new pesticide permitting program now provides the capability of online entry of data by those required to submit use reports. CDPR no longer contracts with counties for data submission.
To transition from county personnel from inputting the data to the user, the California Commissioners and Sealers Association (CACASA) is providing funding during this phaseout period.
The funding for FY 2016/2017 is at the same level as FY 2015/2016. Work will be performed by existing staff.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1. Approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the California Commissioners and Sealers Association and the County of San Benito County for the data entry and submission of pesticide use reports from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 in an amount of $8,968.00.
2. Authorize the Chair to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
