BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, the Board of Supervisors received an Engineer's Report prepared by SCI Consultants for the Mosquito Abatement Assessment and adopted a resolution of intent to levy an assessment based on the findings of the report. A Public Hearing is required to hear public comment regarding the assessment to be imposed by the Board. After discussion, the Board can approve a resolution adopting the rate to be imposed for the Mosquito Assessment for FY 2016/2017.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1. Hold a Public Hearing to hear objections, protests or requested changes or corrections to the written report regarding the Mosquito and Disease Control Assessment rate to be imposed.
2. Adopt Resolution, accepting the annual report for the Mosquito and Disease Control Assessment and levying the rate of $11.22 per unit Mosquito and Disease Control Assessment for FY 2016/2017 based on the Engineer's report.
