BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

On June 7, 2016, San Benito County held a Presidential and Statewide Primary Election. 

 

Election Code Section 15400 states that the Board of Supervisors shall declare the Elected or Nominated Candidates to each office voted and the measure(s) results for the June 7, 2016 Presidential & Statewide Primary Election after acceptance of the election results prepared by the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters and submitted in the certified Statement of Vote.

The attached Statement of Election shows the results of the local and statewide contests.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends that the Board adopt the attached resolution accepting the certified statement of election results for the June 7, 2016 Presidential & Statewide Primary Election and authorize Chair to sign.
